Proenza Schouler Dives into Swimwear

It’s time to do a quick spring cleaning of the bathing suit drawer ASAP to make tons of room for Proenza Schouler’s new swimwear line. The New York City based designers, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, are partnering up with Swimwear Anywhere to release 20 bathing suit styles in their next Cruise 2015 lineup.

“We have wanted to do a swimwear collection for a while. We have always been influenced by surf culture and being outside in nature – the ocean has been a constant source of inspiration. The idea of doing swimwear was a natural evolution for us, and many of the pieces are inspired by runway looks and archival prints from past collections,” the designer duo revealed to Women’s Wear Daily.

According to a report from Women’s Wear Daily, the line includes bikinis, one-piece options, and cover-ups in some of the brand’s signature prints and styles, as well as in muted pastels. The looks are expected to be bright, fun, and wearable. The line is expected to make many a splash and a wave.

This collection of bathing suits seems to be the female equivalent to Barney Stinson’s “Suit up,” ladies!
