Public School is an American fashion brand based in New York City, Founded by Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne in 2008. Public School makes menswear and womenswear collections that embrace the company motto; “to find perfection in imperfection.” It strives to produce designs that reflect a new age of young, irreverent American designers that boldly challenge classic silhouettes by focusing on fabric, fit and attitude, according to HypeBeast.

They grew up in New York — Jackson Heights, Queens, for Mr. Chow; Kensington, Brooklyn, for Mr. Osborne — and met in the early aughts at Sean Combs’s streetwear label Sean John, where Mr. Chow was a senior executive and the younger Mr. Osborne an intern with no background or particular interest in design, according to a 2018 New York Times report.

The brand will be participating in New York’s Men’s Fashion Week.

According to a 2018 Women’s Wear Daily report, on Friday, the New York-based men’s and women’s label founded by Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne sent out an invite to an event Wednesday night in TriBeCa. The invitation, which also had the branding for Moët & Chandon, read: “A piece of ground that belonged to them, on which they could plant their feet, permanency.” The designers had created special bottles for the spirits brand that were unveiled during New York Fashion Week last September.

In December, the designers said they would be taking a break from showing their collection during NYFW in February as “the company is in the midst of stepping away from the traditional industry format and launching a new direct-to-consumer concept.” The company said details would be shared in advance of the launch later this year and that the brand would be “refining” its product assortment, “delivery cadence,” and restructuring its organization, according to a 2018 Women’s Wear Daily report.

According to retailers who had carried the line, the final Public School wholesale collection was shipped for spring.

I tend to focus my attention outwards and am drawn to the external world of action. I learn a lot about the world through experience. Focusing on what I have seen, heard, or touched, gives me the ability to develop a practical and realistic outlook on the world. Making decisions based on impersonal criteria like principles and logic is very important to me.I accept responsibility for my actions. When I succeed, I accept the satisfaction of the achievement, and if I do fail at something, I learn from it and do better next time. I feel confident in my abilities and am accepting of myself. I have good time management skills. I am able to fit the most important things in life into my schedule. I have a strong sense of goal commitment.
