Brian May of Queen says that the band will be releasing a new album. May spoke with BBC Radio Wales at Hay Festival 2014 about their upcoming tour, and said that the album will likely be titled Queen Forever.

It will include new and old songs. Some of these songs are never before heard by the public, and will feature Freddie Mercury. This will be their most recent album in almost 20 years.

“It will have this new material which nobody in the world has heard before,” explains May.

The album will be coming out towards the end of the year, after their latest tour. Queen released earlier this month that they would be doing an 18 city tour with American Idol contestant Adam Lambert starting June 19th.

“We found a few more tracks with Freddie singing, and all of us playing and they’re quite beautiful. So people will be hearing this work,” said May.

May went on to explain because of all the new advancements in technology, they are able to restore their old sound.

According to May, Queen is also working on a sequel to “We Will Rock You”.

Fans of the band can expect to hear the same “big epic sound” that always accompanies Queen’s songs. If you can’t wait to hear their new sound, tickets are already available online at Ticketmaster.com.
