The label called upon the Parisian biker branch – the easy riders for their Double RL&CO brand Sunday. Around 200 vintage motorcycle zipped down Boulevard Saint Germain and parked in front of the Ralph Lauren flagship shop. The event was dubbed RRL Riders Tour which was a 61.5 mile motorcycle tour and display with youngest bike from 1998. Some of the bike where custom courtesy of Bike Blitz. The celebration was very American, which is what the Ralph Lauren flare and how the brand’s image is built on, but this image is a bit more rugged than his usual polo ads that we all have been accustomed to. But nonetheless, the event paid homage to Ralph Lauren’s life on his ranch in Colorado and his love for the American West. Ice buckets were filled up with Sam Adams so the laid back guest can stay refreshed while they munched down on mini cheeseburgers and brownies at Ralph Lauren’s restaurant. Guests also rocked out to the musical performance of country star Fiona Culley. The guest list included Johnny Depp, Vanessa Paradis, and Jean Dujardin.
The flagship opened in 2010 in a restored 17th century townhouse. The line was established in 1993 and has gained a following thanks to its Japanese denim and rugged casual wear. All in all, Ralph Lauren kicked off a very American Sunday Pre-Memorial day event in a very Parisian neighborhood- Kudos Ralph Lauren!
