If you’re one of those people, here are a few ways you can remove a stain from chiffon.

- Clean an area of the fabric that isn’t stained as a test before you start working on the stained area.
- Know what type of stain before you apply any treatment, it help determine the type of temperature to set the water.
- If the methods here don’t work then clean your garment based on the instruction on the tag.
- Put the garment faced down with the back facing you on an absorbent fabric.
Grease Stains:
Sprinkle the stain with talc, this allows it to soak up the oil in the stain and then blow away way the rest of the talc. Afterwards try the following methods used for other types of stains.
Gum and Wax:
Apply ice to the stain so they can harden and then carefully pick away as much as you can of it. Afterwards use a cleaning method.
Protein-based: Blood, Sweat:
Place a drop of detergent used for delicate fabrics on the stain and allow the material to soak in room temperature water for up to 30 minutes. If this doesn’t remove the stain try a cleaning method.
Cleaning Methods:
Get a piece of white cloth and gently dab at the stain, working from the middle and moving out.
Mix a couple of drops of detergent for gentle fabrics with hydrogen peroxide and place it on the stain. Then proceed to soak the stain in cool water for 30 minutes or more and then rinse.
Put a drop colorfast bleach on the stain and then let it soak for half-an hour before rinsing it out.
Use a pretreatment stain remover for delicate fabrics before using the instructions for cleaning on the tag of the clothing.
Put a dry cleaning solvent on the stain and then follow the instruction provided for cleaning the fabric.
Try all of these methods before you head to the dry cleaners or use a stain removal method that is not for delicate fabrics like chiffon.
