Captain Jack Sparrow lives on for another movie.
With a slash to the budget, as well as change in directors, Joachim Ronning and (whats his first name) Sandberg, directors of Kon-Tiki, took over for the old director; the production has had some setbacks.
Coming out six years after the last film, the 5th installment of Pirates of the Caribbean, according to IMDB, will be titled “Dead Men Tell No Tales.” It will be released three years from now in July 2017.
According to EW (who is ew), due to some setbacks with a previous Johnny Depp film, The Lone Ranger (2013), which gave Disney almost $2 million in debt, as well as the film suffering from script issues. (complete the idea and sentence)
EW goes on to say that although the 4th movie was not the best of Sparrow, it still managed to generate $1 billion worldwide, leaving hope that the 5th film will be able to do even better, despite it being a few years since the Pirates were relevant.
Nothing of the plot has been released about the 5th film, all IMDB has given away is that it will follow the adventures of Captain Jack Sparrow.
Except for Depp, who has been confirmed to play Sparrow once again, all other characters are still rumored, although it can’t hurt to keep your fingers crossed that all of our favorite captains will be returning for the new film.
