Get hyped, because Rihanna is joining Kylie Jenner, Drew Barrymore, KatVon D and other celebrities in launching her own cosmetics brand, named Fenty Beauty after her real surname.
News about Rihanna’s beauty line surfaced in mid-April, and its approaching launch date has now been made official by the singer herself. Along with the release of her new collection for Fenty x Puma, which includes khaki and pastel pink trainers and jelly sandals, the singer announced on Twitter and Instagram that her new cosmetics line is set to reach stores this fall 2017. If you were dreading the end of summer, at least you now have one event to look forward to.
The star is working with the Kendo division of LVMH Moët Hennesy Louis Vuitton, a multinational conglomerate whose many subsidiaries include Sephora and Benefit Cosmetics. The deal is estimated at $10 million, WWD reported.
Fans have high expectations for Rihanna’s new products after the creation of her MAC lipsticks back in 2013 and 2014. Her followers are crossing their fingers for the perfect red lip shade, as one eager commenter suggested: “You better be having a super popping red lip in “Robin Hood” sis it’s only right.” Sadly, our beloved star has not released any images of her new products, but Vogue reported the sighting of a “holographic lip product” from her spring/summer 2016 collection. Though Rihanna hasn’t offered any promises, we hope to catch some sneak peeks in the months leading up to the launch.
