For this year’s Apparel Trade Show in Las Vegas, Ronda Rousey, the UFC fighter and former Champion, is expected to make an appearance. Recently, Rousey has been a part of Buffalo David Bitton’s brand and has used her star status to promote the company. In Vegas, she is expected to be at the Buffalo David Bitton’s booth at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center to meet and greet with buyers and fans on August 15th. She is also giving a session time for fans of UFC and fashion lovers alike to sign autographs at the semiannual event.
The twenty-nine-year-old martial artist fighter has acquired an ambassador gig with the Buffalo denim label owned by New York’s Iconix Brand Group Apparel Company in 2014. Buffalo has commented that they are proud of being one of the first companies who have offered a woman UFC fighter a fashion deal during 2014.
Rousey’s career on the big screen has also taken off since then, having small parts in 2015’s Entourage and Furious 7 films. She has recently been offered the main part in Nick Cassavetes’ remake of Road House. The 1989 film previously starred the late Patrick Swayze, who played a rowdy bouncer at a bar, and has since acquired cult classic fandom.
Ronda Rousey plans to promote Buffalo’s new fashion line, Hope, which has been made for women with curves and who are involved in active lifestyles/sports. The Buffalo jeans are being sold for around $79 to $89 dollars, which come in a skinny or straight jean option. The jeans are created with a three-piece stretch denim contour band, which gives extra room for woman’s thighs in the slim fitting jeans.
Rousey has been rumored to acquire more offers to work with fashion companies and UFC tie-ins since the recent WME-IMG 4 billion dollar buyout of the UFC league. Since the beginning of her UFC career, she had never expressed an interest in fashion, since she often wore baggy clothes during fighting events. Now Rousey exclaims fashion is an important part of her active and personal life.
