Rosie Perez to Leave ‘The View’ to Pursue an Acting Career

The View is a popular American television talk-show that allows its group of co-hosts to actually talk about their point-of-views on several current issues.

The show is generally hosted by a group of four women. These co-hosts keep changing through the years in order to keep the show fresh and exciting. The names of co-hosts in the past include people like, Whoopi Goldberg, Barbra Walters, Lisa Ling, Rosie O’Donnell and many more.

As of now, the show is hosted by Raven Symoné, Nicole Wallace, Jenny McCarthy and Rosie Perez. However Perez, who joined the show in 2014, will now be leaving to pursue her acting career.

The staff of the show was intimated via an email sent by the executive producer Bill Wolff. The nineteenth season of the show will be returning this fall with a possible replacement of Perez.

About Perez’s future in showbiz, Wolff said in his email,

“Our friend Rosie Perez has decided to leave the show at the conclusion of this season to pursue full time her love for acting. Stepping into the role of talk show host at the same time she has been starring on Broadway has been incredibly impressive. And beyond being an enormously talented performer, Rosie is a dedicated advocate who has brought passion and insight to the panel every day.”

Hopefully, Perez will build a promising career with films.
