On her Instagram Stories yesterday, Rumer stated, “Her name is a mix of things I love.” Rumer responded to a fan’s question on how she came up with her daughter’s name by sharing a picture of herself and the child on social media. “I have always loved the name Lou so was thinking of that for both a boy or a girl, but then when we found out she was a girl we came up with Louetta.”
She said, “We wanted to give her options.” “Me and my dads [sic] favorite singers are Lou= Louie Armstrong, Etta= Etta James, Isley= Isley Brother.”
Rumer was asked a second time how many children she wanted.
“Eight or nine.” As many who desire to enter and claim me as their mother,” she stated.

Before, Rumer said that her daughter’s name was an error in spelling. She said in August that she had first chosen the name Loretta.
“We were considering calling her Loretta, but we made a typo. She told People, “Her dad left the ‘R’ out of Loretta, and it was just Louetta, and we were texting.” “I thought, ‘Oh, that’s great!'” It seemed like a moment of supernatural intervention in the cosmos, and we discovered the truth rather early in my pregnancy.”

However, when she came out, I mean, I was going to call her Lou, boy or girl, at least for the time being.”
