Yes, it’s true, Selena Gomez is back to the drawing board.
The Coach ambassador and singer-songwriter superstar teamed up with the brand again to launch an even bigger line than her first one with the help of Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers.
Gomez’s first collaboration with Coach included a successful handbag line, the star took things a step further by designing her very own Coach clothing collection.
According to a 2018 People report, Launching for pre-order online at Coach.com and in stores beginning on Aug. 14, and available in Coach stores globally beginning Aug. 31, the “powerful” and “feminine” collection features ultra-soft sweaters, silk slips, retro-inspired hoodies, new handbag silhouettes and accessories that embody Gomez’s sense of style.
“I’m so proud of the collection,” said Gomez in a press release. “What I love most about working with the Coach team is that they just know how I dress. Everything felt authentic from the beginning.”
For Vevers, extending the pair’s partnership with another collection was a no-brainer.
“I love working with Selena because she brings her strong point-of-view to the design process,” he said. “I wanted all of the pieces to reflect her style and her charm—and to feel effortless.”
Gomez added, “Getting to create my own collection with Stuart has been such a fun process, and I can’t wait for everyone to see what we have been working on over the past several months.”
According to a 2018 Teen Vogue report, The campaign features Selena leaning against a series of vintage cars in various boudoir-inspired looks. In the first, the singer wears a light pink slip dress with an oversized cozy cardigan on top. It seems as though the look has been pulled right from the fashion-lover’s ‘90s-throwback wardrobe, so it’s no surprise she’s designed such pieces for Coach. In her hand is an embellished top-handle bag in red. In the other image, Selena wears a skirted version of the slip dress with a bunny-printed sweater and leather jacket draped over her shoulders. In her hand is a cross-body structured bag we can’t wait to get our own hands on, come fall.
