Showtime has renewed both ‘Homeland’ and ‘The Affair’, which isn’t too surprising if you know how popular ‘Homeland’ is. ‘The Affair’ recently premiered, but unlike other shows that debuted this fall season it’s been renewed for a second season. ‘Homeland’ will be getting a fifth season with 12 episodes. Showtime’s David Neven, said in a statement,
“In its fourth season, ‘Homeland’ has brilliantly reinvented itself. It continues to capture the attention of a devoted fan base, and has provided an enviable platform for the successful launch of ‘The Affair.’” He continued, “With thought-provoking, relevant and addictive story lines, both series have been embraced, dissected and much debated week after week. We’re excited to see more from these complex shows in 2015.”
