Skechers Performance Division made a big announcement – one that may have scored them a hole in one. The 5th ranked golf player in the world, Matt Kuchar, has decided to be the first brand ambassador for the Sketchers GOgolf line. Kuchar will appear in the line’s campaign that is featured throughout an array of media outlets, such as T.V, print, and digital mediums.

Robert Greenberg, the Chief Executive Officer, voiced his opinion, pleased with the company’s new addition. He stated that Kuchar was going to bring about growth and brand awareness – deadly duo perhaps?
Skechers has really seemed to give its line a boost with having Kuchar as the new addition. Winning the 1998 Masters as the Amateur Champion and seven PGA titles, his presence carries tremendous value. Helping the U.S claim a victory in the 2013 Presidents Cup might be another check-plus by Kuchar’s name – just maybe.
“Whether competing or practicing, I’m on my feet for hours, so the comfort and performance of my shoes is a critical factor in my success. In trying out the GOgolf line, I was really pleased both with the shoe and with the Skechers Performance Division team. Their attention to detail and expertise in performance footwear is impressive,” Kuchar said.
Kuchar can sure come out on top on the leader board, so Skechers is hoping he is able bring the same motivation to its emerging line – there’s no time for bogeys.
