Brad Pitt’s good looks aren’t the only thing scoring him some public attention. Pitt is set to star with Shia LaBeouf and Logan Lerman in a new war film called “Fury.” David Ayer is the director of the WWII action film that takes place in Germany, back in 1945. The plot is centered around five soldiers and their mission that teeters the edge of life or death.
Pitt takes on the main role in the movie, playing the part of Sergeant Wardaddy who orders a Sherman tank, that they call “Fury”, and the five-man team to attack within Germany’s core. LaBeouf is Pitt’s co-star, and the movie focuses on not only the combat, but also the soldiers’ personal stories.
The film is meant to generate a roller coaster of emotion, all of which will put a new twist on an old topic. The WWII nail biter will, “bring a fresh execution to the genre…This will have incredible, visceral action and complex rich characters. I plan to bring tank combat to life in a way that lands with a modern audience,” said Ayer, according to Screen Rant.
Ayer’s experience as the writer for “U-571” and Pitt’s involvement in the film, “Inglourious Basterds”, will provide valuable proficiency for the movie’s success. Due to this, hopes are high that the film will release in high demand.
The movie is set to come out on Nov. 14., so only time will tell how the popularity hits the box office.
