Splendid is a store the sells women’s and children’s clothing online and at their 25 locations across the country.

The brand that was founded in 2002 by Moise Emquies in search to find the softest fabric and most color absorbing yarns in the world in order to create the ultimate t-shirt.

From that, the brand has kept expanding. So far that it is now in home decor.

According to a 2018 Women’s Wear Daily report, the collection is set to begin deliveries to retailers, such as Nordstrom and Macy’s, later this month with product on store shelves and online by August. Bloomingdale’s has the exclusive on two marble-style bedding patterns in the initial few months after the collection’s launch. The collection will also be sold on Splendid’s web site.

The assortment, which is more than 150 pieces, will include percale sheets, throws, hand and wash towels, bedding, coverlets and shams ranging from $17 to $384.

 

“This extension and this category was something we’ve really always wanted to do and something we’re excited to do,” Splendid creative director and vice president of design Pamela Protzel-Scott said to Women’s Wear Daily in a 2018 report. “We thought that it would translate seamlessly.”

The company worked with Sunham Home Fashions to produce the Splendid Home collection, with Sunham helping Splendid translate patterns from the women’s collection into the new category. The line will continue to expand each season with more beach towels and robes set to be added for spring 2019, according to Protzel-Scott.

“For us, at Splendid, we’re really trying to create a full lifestyle brand for customers,” Protzel-Scott said to Women’s Wear Daily in a 2018 report. “We have quite a few licensed categories that we’ve seen success with. Splendid is known for its softness and West Coast sensibility and ease. We want to be able to show that on another platform.”
