It’s that time of the year when the sun beats down and dehydration and thirst are at their peak. Starbucks is in luck this year with their new 12-0z, made-to-order sodas that they named Frizzio.
Non-coffee drinkers have found their new craze with the natural refreshers that don’t include preservatives, high fructose corn syrup or artificial flavoring.
There are three flavors to satisfy those needy taste buds – Golden Ginger Ale, Spiced Root Beer and Lemon Ale. The Starbucks menu describes the Golden Ginger Ale as citrus and ginger combined to perfection with a refreshing aftertaste. The Spiced Root Beer stays true to its name with a blend of root beer and chai spices that will leave you feeling revitalized. As for the Lemon Ale, it’s thirst-quenching mixture of lemon and apricot will make you wish free refills were a thing.
Sources say the machine that creates these delicious drinks has the ability to carbonate the liquid so that you have just the amount of fizz you want.
Starbucks seems to have given soda a new reputation – maybe even a new personality. There’s no longer a health concern with these soft drinks, making them even more desirable to the average customer.
Reviews are mixed about the quality of taste behind these handcrafted beverages. However, the drinks have since been introduced to 3,000 new stores following last year’s successful testing in Atlanta and Austin.
