Winter is right around the corner, but the signs of it are pretty clear this fall. Winter comes with freezing faces, the potential for frostbite and snow. So here are some things you can do to keep warm.
1. Layer Up
Wearing underclothes is one of the best things you can do to keep yourself warm; especially if you’re going to be outside in the cold for a prolonged period of time. You can wear leggings, a long undershirt, long underwear, or stockings.
2. Waterproof You Stuff
Winter and wetness is an inseparable pair and will only make you colder. If it’s snowing or raining out, be sure to wear waterproof materials. Water will only penetrate your clothing and make you even colder.
3. Wear Heat-Retaining Clothes
More and more clothes stores now sell clothing that is insulated with material to retain heat. Be sure to invest in some shirts you can wear under a sweater or over another shirt. You can also buy clothes with wool lining.
4. Cover Exposed Areas
Be sure to cover your hands, feet and head when you’re outside. Get a hat and wear it; especially when temperature drop because it’ll trap heat within your hat and will help protect your ears from the elements. Wear gloves and a scarf to protect your hands and neck.
