British supermodel and actress, Suki Waterhouse, is now trying her hand at fashion designing. Her latest project is acting as the face for the Italian shoe brand, Superga campaigns. Not only is she the star of the ads, but she teamed up with the brand to design her own special capsule collection.
In an interview with Elle UK, she revealed her inspiration for the collection as “anything from shop windows to tablecloths.”
The collection includes three different styles. A sneak peak of the collection shows platform sneakers in pastel blue and bright red with hearts on the platforms. As Waterhouse described to British Vogue, the styles include “happy little hearts.”
Waterhouse is not the first to team up with Superga to co-design a collection. The brand recently teamed up with Leandra Medine, from Man Repeller, to release another collection for spring/summer 2014.
Many have seen models in the past few years transition into different industries such as designing and acting. Your resume packs a bigger punch when you’re a triple threat. It seems if you aren’t seen everywhere, you aren’t seen anywhere.
Suki is also currently in the process of filming the second movie in the ‘Divergent’ trilogy, ‘Insurgent’ in Atlanta, Georgia. She is playing the role of Marlene, a member of the Dauntless faction.
Look out for the Superga x Suki collection in stores and online this August.
