Taylor Swift, who released her latest single in August, is dating Joe Alwyn, and things seem to be going well. The “Look What You Made Me Do” singer has been keeping things quiet and the public did not catch on to the romance for months.
A source close to the couple said that, “She got buried in media being on top of her life during the last relationship, so she tried everything in her power to not have that happen again.” The insider continued to add, “She worked very closely with her security team and management to make sure her life going forward was private. All of that madness really affected her.” Apparently, as per an informant, “Taylor doesn’t even like her neighbors to know when she’s at home.”
As per another alleged insider, her new beau supports her. They said that, “They seem to be on the same page,” and that “he is very supportive of her work.” That is always great to have in a relationship, on top of mutual respect, of course. Another anonymous insider also noted that in regards to Taylor Swift’s feeling about the situation, “Her decision to keep her relationship with Joe quiet is making her happy.” According to the source, Joe Alwyn is “very happy spending time at home with Taylor.”
The singer’s latest song “Look What You Made Me Do” has been wildly successful in the three weeks that it has been out, giving Taylor and her new honey one more thing to be happy about. The music video has broken records and displays a very new attitude for the artist. In the music video, she makes fun of her enemies such as Katy Perry and Kim Kardashian.
In the bit making fun of Katy Perry, Taylor Swift crashes a golden car with a leopard in the front seat. She gets out and holds up a Grammy, which Katy Perry has never won. Katy Perry additionally drives a gold plated truck, and her fans call themselves “kitty kats.” According to Taylor Swift, the celebrities’ issues started over business. “It wasn’t even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me,” said Swift. “And I’m surprisingly non-confrontational – you would not believe how much I hate conflict. So now I have to avoid her. It’s awkward, and I don’t like it.”
The video has also been criticized for copying Beyoncé’s “Formation.” Joseph Kahn, a 44-year-old professional who directed Taylor Swift’s music video said, “It’s not ‘Formation’ at all.” He continued, “They try to say she’s wearing a black crop top and Beyoncé wore a black crop top. But they don’t realize in 2015 in ‘Bad Blood,’ Taylor Swift was wearing a black crop top. I really do think, by the way, that Beyoncé copied ‘Bad Blood.”
Of course this only made Beyoncé’s fans angrier because the only thing worse than copying their favorite singer was denying her influence. Joseph Kahn decided to use the poor media attention to promote himself and basically troll people. He tweeted things such as, “Article where I said Beyoncé copied ‘Bad Blood’ tank tops. Seriously, do you think I give a fuck about tank tops lol.” Another tweet stated, “The most controversial thing about BODIED so far is that I made a joke about tank tops. At 11:59 PM tonight, the real talk begins.” Hilariously, he also said, “Shit, I only have two days to piss off the world before the BODIED premiere. I gotta focus.”
Here is hoping that Taylor Swift continues to be a success, and she and Joe Alwyn continue to enjoy each other’s company.
