In true T.O. fashion, your favorite wide receiver, Terrell Owens, has created his own athleisure line.
Prototype81 marries not only the jersey number the former Cincinnati Bengals star is famed for but also an ode to his initials. Owens tells WWD, “I added my number to the end and came up with Prototype81 — and you can’t spell prototype without ‘TO.’” No surprise there.
The collection will feature a series of shorts, short and long sleeved tees, crop tops and leggings for both the women and men dedicated to that luxe sports lifestyle.
Owens, like his time spent in the NFL, is cultivating perfection. Terrell has been releasing teasers and footage of the collection over the past year as he worked closely with designers in Los Angeles. Finally, T.O. introduced the collection on Monday at New York’s MRket show at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
