Current, fashion trendsetters are getting their panties in a twist over the title of, “norm core.” Defined by Vogue UK, a norm core is a completely conventional and “nondescript” way of dressing.

But after this years latest fashion week, Parisians seem to be moving toward the anti-normal course movement. Both street and runway looks were exaggerated, popped with color and had a hint of humor.

Jeremy Scott, the Creative Director of Maschino, put on a show inspired by American Icons, of sorts; the corporate giant that is McDonald’s, and a popular children’s show, SpongeBob SquarePants. Scott tells Vogue Magazine his inspirations came from “working with the McDonald’s color pallet.”
