Timo Weiland caters to the expensive, high class taste of consumers in his newest Resort collection. It seems that he’s found the perfect meeting place between Palm Springs and modern, midcentury interiors, according to WWD. Playing with knits and tech fibers with a mostly black and white color palette, the styles are simple yet luxurious from the patterns all the way down to seemingly unnoticeable details, like the seams.
A tank dress had simple black and white stripes horizantally on the body of the dress, and vertical stripes down the skirt – a look that may seem as if it were not complex in any way, but has a look to it that is anything but ordinary. Another interesting knitted dress resembles the design of a over sized T-shirt, with a chic, high fashion twist. The dress plays with form, as the black and dark blue stripes run horizontally from the neckline to the thighs, fitting slightly loose over the top and body of the dress, but is loose and wide on black and white blotchy pattern on the sleeves.
Other styles dare to mix colliding fabrics and patterns, but still manage to have a perfect runway design. While unconventional and somewhat odd at times, each look has its own fun, eccentric and chic twist.
