Do you Tinder? What’s Tinderizing anyway?

tinder

If you don’t know what Tinder is, you may be in a better place than most of us. Tinder comprises one of the social dating applications on Smartphones, and the concept has exploded hookup culture and availability due to the complete lack of emotional or intellectual engagement it allows. Basically, the purpose of Tinder is to see the image of a person and judge whether or not you’re attracted to them based on their physical appearance. If you find them cute, then you swipe left, if you find them not cute, then you swipe right. If you both swipe right, then Tinder lets you know you have found a match. The application is convenient enough for those who want a quick way to find dates, or mostly hookup buddies, but it takes the mystery and fun out of dating altogether. Suddenly, the possibility of you finding your “match” is determined purely by how you look, and you could have missed out on someone great because you didn’t like his or her hair.

Another factor of Tinder is the lack of monogamy. Don’t expect to be the only person in your match’s world because they (and you!) have plenty more to choose from.

Has romance and sex become so casual and cynical nowadays that we’ve given up on the idea altogether? Now we have dating websites and applications for iPhones to help us find companionship. It sounds fun, and sometimes it can be, but if you’re searching for an honest relationship you might be better off elsewhere. Go to a coffee shop and read a good book. Travel to another country for a week and sample lots of different desserts. Think of it this way, you won’t be the couple telling all of your friends that you met on Tinder. Or and have you heard of ‘Pure’? Umm,  ‘Pure,’ Sex App, divides itself from ‘time consuming’ Tinder with single-Minded Focus. SEX!  Will give you the insight on that one later, it’s on a different level altogether.  If you’re curious, check out the Tinder website here.
