A Toast to Breakfast: New Ways to Have Your Toast!

Toast has always been a breakfast staple, but it’s a bit boring. Butter and jelly just don’t do it anymore. But there are some ways to spice up your quick breakfast staple so you get your daily intake of whole wheat. Read on to find out how!

1) Peanut Butter and Banana: This combo is an oldie but a goodie. Spread a couple tablespoons of creamy or crunch peanut butter on your whole-wheat toast and add some banana slices on top. This option is tasty and nutritious with some added protein. If you are allergic to nuts, try Soy Butter instead!

2) Sunny Side-Up: Melt some of your favorite cheese onto your toast — try muenster, provolone or brie — and make some classic sunny side-up eggs to top your toast. You can get a full, classic, hearty breakfast in just a few bites!

3) Avocado Toast: It’s easy to recreate the famous Avocado toast from Café Gitane by mashing up some avocado with salt, pepper and lemon juice, then sprinkling crushed red pepper on top. Your taste buds will be in heaven.

4) Nutella and Honey: If you wake up with a sweet tooth, don’t be afraid to lather on some chocolate-hazelnut spread and drip some honey onto your toast.
