For the current generation, Spiderman has meant Toby McGuire, Andrew Garfield and of course, an absentee from the Avengers films.
One of the most controversial comic book characters on the production aspect is indeed Spiderman. With the rights of this particular superhero switching from Marvel to Sony to Marvel again, Spiderman sure has been oscillating from his web.
As of now, the rights to the character are back with the Marvel franchise and sure enough there are new films in the pipeline. However, this time the character will be played by Tom Holland.
Tom Holland is a British Theatre actor who played the role of Billy Elliot in the eponymous musical at the Victoria Palace Theatre in London. Even though Holland is not too famous within mainstream cinema, he could possibly be a promising Spiderman.
Marvel Entertainment announced that Holland will play Spiderman in the upcoming film that will release in 2017.
His career includes films like ‘The Impossible’ with Naomi Watts, ‘In the heart of the sea’ with Chris Hemsworth and a television miniseries called, ‘Wolf Hall’.
Hopefully, the actor will adorn the red and blue suit quite effortlessly.
