1. Buy a Brush
Most women get lazy and believe the using their fingers to apply foundation will suffice, but unfortunately, this is not the case. Makeup artists and other experts assert that using a brush is necessary for an even tone, but according to Daily Makeover, 52 percent of women do not do this. Using a brush in light, circular motion will produce the best coverage and leave the face spotless.
2. Avoid Creasing
Creasing is difficult to prevent, and a little bit here and there is normal, but there is a way to ensure no deep lines pop up. “If my client is wearing eye cream, I’ll blot off the eye cream with a tissue because the more emollient the skin, the more likely that the foundation will crease,” celebrity makeup artist Troy Jensen told Daily Makeover. Avoiding multiple layers of foundation will prevent a thick coating and will also help the creasing issue.
3. Apply All Over
Every woman must learn how to blend foundation. Tricking everyone into thinking a woman’s skin is an even, darker shade isn’t too difficult, but forgetting to apply foundation to the neck and ears is a no-no! Don’t’ be a two-toned gal, it will defeat the whole purpose of your makeup.
