Top 5 Nail Trends for this Spring/Summer 2014

The warm weather months are finally here which means it’s time to put away the shades of blacks and dark reds and grey polishes. There are tons of funky trends to try this season. Check out some of the Spring 2014 runway nail trends below!

1)    Patterned: There was no shortage of funky patterned nails on the runway this year. One popular trend was the moon manicure seen at Milly, the funky bright yellow pattern at The Blonds show pictured below, and the youthful illustrations at Rebecca Minkoff

2)    Nude: Light, plain nudes are still a classic, popular shade this season. Models at the Spring 2014 Oscar de la Renta show pictured below, and at Alice + Olivia and Derek Lam rocked this timeless nude look.

3)    Claw-Shaped: The daring cat claw shaped nails were seen on numerous runways. To best wear this look on a day-to-day basis, stick with a basic color or simple pattern, as seen on the Kate Spade Spring 2014 runway.

4)    Metallic: Shiny golds, silvers, coppers, and platinums were spotted on the runway this season. Check out the gold hue from the Spring 2014 3.1 Phillip Lim runway.

5)    Crisp White: Always a spring/summer classic are crisp white nails to show off a nice tan. At Nanette Lepore Spring 2014, models rocked the snow white nail look.
