The trailer for highly anticipated hip-hop and Lee Daniels directed series ‘Empire’ was released today. The series is set around a hip-hop mogul Luscious Lyon, as he deals with the future of his record label. In the trailer you see Lyon, played by Terrence Howard, learn some bad news which urges him to figure out who will run the company. His ex-wife, Cookie Lyon, played by Taraji P. Henson, soon enters the scene, as she demands half of the company. The trailer is unfortunately only a minute long; however, it gives you a hint of what is to come in the series. Gabourey Sidibe, Jussie Smollett, Trai Byers and Naomi Campbell will also be a part of the cast.
‘Empire’ premieres on Fox in January.
