The trailer for a drama focused around The Civil Rights Movement and Martin Luther King Jr. has been released.
According to Paramount, “Selma” tells the story of how the revered leader and visionary Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his brothers and sisters in the movement prompted change that forever altered history.” The film stars David Oyelowo, Oprah Winfrey, who is also listed as a producer, Cuba Gooding Jr., Alessandro Nivola, Giovanni Ribisi Common, Carmen Ejogo, Lorraine Toussaint, and Tim Roth. The title Selma is significant because it’s meant to reflect the march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama in 1965.
