Three top pop stars, Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj finally officially released their long-awaited hit summer single titled “Bang Bang” on Tuesday, July 29! After being leaked a day early, the song officially debuted, and it is bangin’! The track, to be released on “Problem” singer Ariana Grande’s new album “My Everything” out Aug. 25, and it might also appear on Jessie J’s U.S. version of “Alive” and Nicki’s 2014 release of “The Pinkprint.”
The song was produced by Max Martin, Savan Kotecha and Ilya Salmanzadeh—the same team that produced Ariana Grande and Iggy Azaela’s “Problem,” which became the number-two hit on the Hot 100 list this summer. It’s only natural that the fate of this catchy tune holds a spot among this summer’s best hits. Already, the collaboration has shot up to the top spot at Number 1 on the iTunes Top Singles charts in the United States, Brazil, Finland, the Phillippines and many other countries.
In an interview during “On Air With Ryan Seacrest,” Jessie J dished on the new collaboration’s success.
“It feels like a real fresh start, and just having Nicki and Ariana on there is just a blessing. I just can’t wait to just take it around America like a little present in my pocket,” Jessie J said.
