Maybelline has announced that Adriana Lima is returning as the spokeswomen for the company. Lima worked with Maybelline from 2003 to 2009, but left to pursue other things. Now five years later she has been welcomed back to Maybelline with open arms.
Lima posted a photo on her Instagram with a caption explaining how she would be back to work with Maybelline, the photo featured her in a car making a peace sign. Just last month the model was seen in New York walking down the sidewalk and posing for cameras as they filmed a commercial for a lipstick line by Maybelline. “We are honored to welcome back Adriana to our amazing roster of spokespeople,” said Jerome Bruhat, Global Brand President of Maybelline New York.Lima shares the same excitement, expressing she is a “Maybelline girl” and is happy to be back with the company, describing it as her home. Maybelline tweeted on Thursday, “So excited to welcome @AdrianaLima back to the Maybelline family! #bornwithit”.
Fans of the cosmetic line, and their new spokeswomen, can expect to see the two back together in print and TV commercials at the start of the summer, which is quickly approaching. Lima told Daily Fix, “Makeup is powerful because it allows women to express themselves in a very personal way.” The perfect attitude for a makeup company who tries to inspire women to be confident and adventurous with their makeup looks.
Lima will be joining the ranks of models such as Christy Turlington, Marloes Horst, Emily DiDonato and Jourdan Dunn who are already working as representatives for Maybelline.
