A new video of actress Angelina Jolie, 39, has been released to The National Enquirer. The disturbing video is a clip of the now mother-of-six pacing around her living room having a rambling conversation with her father on the phone seemingly high on drugs.
The video was shot by self-proclaimed drug dealer, Franklin Meyer, who insisted that she had given him consent to film the 16-minute clip. Allegedly, the filming took place after Jolie bought drugs, specifically cocaine and heroin, from the dealer at her home in Manhattan in 1999 and then took them.
In the footage, Jolie looks emaciated and pale. Her eyes are bloodshot and she has scratches on her skin. During her conversation, Jolie continuously picks at her skin with her dirty fingernails.
Although the phone conversation is difficult to make out, it seems that Jolie is discussing a family issue. She says, “You know but it’s, you know it’s, whatever that house… I said once, well, what if I stop working? She’s like, telling me to relax, you know. But to, you know, I said what if I don’t work for you, what if I don’t make that much money? And you stay in an apartment until I make more money so that you can get a bigger house. What if something happens to me?” Adding later, “You know, I don’t want this to ruin our relationship.”
The clip also exhibits Jolie’s apartment at the time, which appears decrepit and untidy. Empty soda cans and trash bags fill the floor and coffee table. Since the video’s release Jolie has described it as a “dark” and “dangerous” time of her life. She even stated that she was lucky to survive this period.
About the video, Meyer told the Enquirer, “Angie was a client of mine for several years. I sold her heroin and cocaine. One day she called me up and wanted me to drop by her place. That was her way of telling me she wanted me to bring her drugs. At the time, I had just bought a video camera and decided to bring it along. When I arrived, I just gave her the drugs and then she gave me the money.”
In the interview, Meyer also claimed to have seen Jolie two to three times per week when she lived in the city. He discussed how he would meet her at either her flat or a hotel, adding that she typically spent around $100 each time they met.
Jolie is currently an Oscar-winning actress, mother, internationally acclaimed humanitarian and partner within one of Hollywood’s most prestigious couples.
