Vivienne Tam’s Spring/Summer 2015 collection is described as being inspired by the decorative treasures of the Ming and Qing dynasties. The collection consisted of 38 diverse pieces with features such as mesh with laser-cut overlays and patterns printed on textured cottons. Bermuda shorts, geometric tops, striped menswear shirts and a mixture of beautiful colors spared dull moments. Intricate design was executed in each piece, adding a high-end feel to the collection. Many pieces could be described as stiff, with rigid angles that disregarded the feminine figure, but exaggerated details balanced the equation.
