Remember ‘What Not To Wear?’ Have you forgotten about how you used to plan your weekend around it? Well, many are worried about making summer fashion and beauty faux pas, but here is what not to do.
- The decision to get a rose, or butterfly, tramp stamp tattoo in mid-July because you think you can still rock it in twenty years is a bad one. Stay away from the lower back area at the tattoo parlor this summer.
- Shorts that are too short. Modesty hasn’t died yet people.
- Capri pants that are not flattering on your shape. Make sure they fit you properly. In general, look for a pair of cropped pants instead of capri.
- Ditto for the bathing suit. Choose a suit that makes you feel comfortable and is equally flattering.

- Bad hair bleaching technique. Always consult a good stylist before dyeing your hair, so as to prevent eternal damage.
- Unfortunate spray tanning incidents. Orange may be the new black, but it is not the new you.
- Too much of any article of clothing that could have been at Coachella. Keep the excessive fringe, crop tops, or distressed cut-off short shorts to a minimum.
- Owning flip-flops but no nice sandals. Even if you’re not a garden party kind of girl, having a pair of nice summer shoes is a good idea.
