‘Wonder Woman’ Director Debunks Negative Comments of Upcoming Film Being “A Mess”

After a former Warner Brother’s employee published a negative online commentary about the studio’s DC Comic superhero movies, Patty Jenkins, the director of the upcoming Wonder Woman film, has been trying to debunk the negative comments. The letter described Man of Steel and the newest Warner Bros. film The Suicide Squad as total wrecks, but what shocked Jenkins was the employee’s comment about how Wonder Woman was a complete mess.

The commentary continued to say that Wonder Woman is hiding behind an exciting trailer and doesn’t allude viewers to a viable plot line because the film lacks a decent storyline in general. Not only that, but the commentary also criticized the studio for rewarding the same producers and directors for making the same writing/filming aesthetic mistakes for their DC Comic universe films.

Although the commentary was released by an anonymous source, Jenkins commented that she was personally offended for fans and other film critics alike already deeming Wonder Woman as a potential failure. Jenkins has lashed out on social media that this commentary has no proof that the writer of the commentary was even a real employee at Warner Brothers, asking the blog site who was original author behind the critical commentary was.

Jenkins also asks for critics and fans alike to not believe this cynical hype. She also claims that someone is trying to spread serious misinformation by producing bad publicity for the new film.

Geoff Johns, Co-Ed of DC Comic Films, has commented that the Warner Brother’s team, along with Jenkins, don’t believe the film is terrible, but on the contrary, believe the film is going to be amazing. Johns and Jenkins both rave about their progress on the Wonder Woman film, saying everyone on their set loves what they are doing to bring the beloved Wonder Woman character alive on the silver screen.

Johns, who is also the co-writer for the new Wonder Woman film, has also commented that if there is something critically or aesthetically wrong with the film, he wouldn’t know until the film was released into theaters.

So everyone is just going to have to wait until Wonder Woman, as Gal Godot, hits theaters on June 2nd, 2017.
