After the teaser trailer of “Into The Woods” debuted this summer, fans have been screaming for more.
The newest trailer was released Thursday with vocals by Meryl Streep as the Witch who sends The Baker and his wife “Into the Woods” in order to break their curse. The story is based off the Broadway play by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine.
According to Deadline, “The witty, soaring score (Sondheim) and ingenious book (Lapine) mash up the classic tales of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk and Rapunzel, all tied together by an original story involving a baker and his wife, their wish to begin a family and their interaction with the witch (Streep) who has put a curse on them.”
The all-star cast withholds Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, Anna Kendrick, James Corden, Chris Pine and Johnny Depp.
