Zac Posen is a designer with a lot of projects on his plate. His recent resume includes the creative director of Brooks Brothers womenswear line, judge on Project Runway, and the designer of the new Delta Airline uniforms; not to mention his own brand too. Where does he find the time to scroll?
Instagram has served as an inspiration for the designer’s ZAC Zac Posen line. The designer likes to personally handle his account and enjoys the feedback from his fans and followers. When talking about the subject he stated,
“It has encouraged me to add more separates, suiting and daywear, just from their excitement when I do post that. When I post a large gown, that has an immediate transporting romance to it — we sell off Instagram, even — but to see the interest in the more casual line ZZP gives huge encouragement to continue expand and grow it.”
Not only does he take the feed back of his customers seriously, he also looks to favorite Instagram category: food porn. Mainly his own creations, search #CookingWithZac. Things like fine porcelain china and speckled egg shells served as muses.
His resort ready-to-wear collection still holds true to what you typically see at ZAC. Tailored dresses, pants, and coats, but he put a greater emphasis on separate pieces. Items of the collection include floral-printed tulle and a satin crop top the exposes the hips.
Posen should keep on scrolling, posting, and commenting because his handbag sales have doubled since last year. So he is doing something right.
