Zang Toi shows fall/winter 2014 collection during New York Fashion Week

Zang Toi –

His mens collection features a grey wool suit with grey sleeve buttons, only there are three extra-large buttons that blend in with the fabric, so it you don’t see it unless you look close, but once you notice them, they draw the attention they deserve for being so modern.  His women’s line is even more spectacular, it features various colored furs that include a light gray, a burgundy, and best of all an emerald green.  The emerald green fur coat is truly a masterpiece. Not only is it a great bright color, it gives a touch of colorful elegance to a perfect black beaded dress which it sits over.  For the woman to make an entrance Zang Toi designed a black just below the knees length dress, with his seasons green emerald middle top portion and shining beads on the top half of the dress.  It reflects the light in such a way that you will sparkle as soon as you set foot anywhere, whether there are lights shining on you or not.  It seems like the collection is partially Asian culture inspired, with the dress designs, the fabrics, and the stitching details that are made.  It also feels like this collection belongs in the Emerald City museum, and while Dorothy had her red ruby shoes, the Wicked Witch should have had on a pair of Zang Toi green emerald shoes, that would have made for a great fashion conversation.
