I am going to take you to where I was taken as was I introduced to the Zang Toi women’s spring 2015 collection during NYFW back stage and during the runway show.
As the song “American Woman” played, I saw the American woman as the First Lady in her vintage inspired red ensemble with ’80s inspired golden buttons, I saw her and her friends at chic funeral with the vintage Chanel inspired black outfits that were accessorized with exaggerated pearls and then we passed by a Chritmas Eve party with the red and green outfits that had the modern twist through the silver fabrics added to the shoulders and architect inspired necklines. And finally we ended up at the Hamptons to really celebrate spring with the flowy- floral dresses.
For the spring season expect to let out your classically- modern look because that was what Zang Toi was all about and Andre Leon Talley is siting right Infront me! So that should be a good sign.
Zang toi opted to concentrate the collection on cotton, wool, linen, silk followed by silk and more silk. With the heavy colors such as bloody red, green, black and purple taking over.
Starting with a black crocodile vest and ending with a dreamy ivory hand beaded floral lace grand dame coat defined Toi’s edgy chicness in the most fashionable way.
