Zayn Malik Cover of “No Type” Leakes, Causes Instant Controversy

When Zayn Malik left One Direction he insisted it was because he wanted to live the ‘normal life of a 22 year old.’ Now, the ex-band mate is working on new solo music.

The 22-year old sings alongside U.K. rapper Mic Righteous in a cover of Rae Sremmurd’s “No Type.” This leak caused a lot of drama between the rapper and producer Naughty Boy.

Naughty Boy, upset that the song got leaked tweeted, “just wait for the real one you won’t be disappointed.”

He continued, “that had nothing to do with me or Zayn, something was stolen from the hard drive that had nothing to do with the rapper involved.”

Well, Mc Righteous was not happy with that response to his collaboration with Malik, tweeting, “lol @NaughtyBoyMusic tell the truth shah. We recorded them bars in ur studio months ago. .. Bout ‘stolen hard drive.”

Later on he tweeted again, targeting Naughty Boy,

Wonder what Zayn makes of all this drama. The song was taken down from the internet, only to but re-uploaded by Mic Righteous. He went to Twitter again to rant about the infamous Naughty Boy,

“F—ck stepping on egg shells cos i wanna keep the label happy.. I ain’t signed i can do me…Zayn wants the tune out, he ask me to be on the song, shah (naughtyboy) told me that his label wont let him release any music for the next two yrs.. So you know what i did? I did it for him, for you. And at the end of the day they cant say no to me, i work for the people not the industry.”

It seems like leaving One Direction did Zayn more harm than good – nobody wants to start their new career off with this much drama.
