1. A great pair of stilettos
Every woman needs a pair of heels, whether they’ve only been worn once for a dreaded bachelorette party, or whether your live in your pumps like you’re the next Kim Kardashian. They will probably be useful someday, we promise.
2. A signature scent
Secret deodorant does not count as a signature scent. If you don’t love the smell of Chanel No. 5, we recommend Pure Grace by Philosophy. This fragrance is meant to mimic the fresh, clean laundry you love removing from the dryer.
3. The right lip color for everyday use
Even if you don’t like wearing lipstick, its good to have a shade you love on hand. Just in case you feel a little daring one morning.
4. A fabulous winter coat
Peacoats, quilted jackets, and wool capes; we love them all. Make sure you choose a warm one as well; we cannot sacrifice practicality here.
5. One practical, stylish bag
Speaking of practical, a good purse is an absolute must. You need a place to keep your personal necessities, whether they include Stephen King novels, or multiple types of mascara.
6. A good book series
Jo Nesbo just made The New Yorker as the new Scandinavian crime novelist. His books are dense, yet consistently entertaining. If you enjoy well-written, complex crime fiction, Nesbo’s Harry Hole series is a good one to test.
7. Your phone
Must we explain?
8. A loyal friend
Frenemies won’t be there to feed you Oreos at 2 am after a breakup, or share multiple bottles of white wine while you’re both in your pajamas.
9. Your preferred coffee
French roast, Italian roast, black, black with milk and sugar, half and half, or a White Mocha. You need your coffee. Yes, we count Frappuccinos as coffee, because they technically contain caffeine right?
