Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are proving to parents everywhere that it is indeed possible to be civil with your ex-spouse, or soon to be ex, for the sake of your children.
The united family was spotted at their home in the Bahamas, E! News confirmed Thursday. Following the news of the couple’s split, it seemed necessary to get their children away from the prying cameras of Hollywood for some peace and privacy in this difficult time. They are parents to three children together; daughters Violet and Seraphina, and youngest son Samuel.
On Tuesday, Affleck and Garner announced the end of their 10-year marriage, and it became known that they had actually been separated for 10 months. Putting their children first is the priority, and Affleck will continue to live at their Brentwood home, yet in a separate house on the property.
“We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time,” the pair announced in their statement.
Affleck will no doubt return to California by next weekend, as he’s scheduled to appear at the San Diego Comic-Con with the rest of his Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice co-stars.
The Bahamas is a special and private location for the family, as it has been for years. There couldn’t be a better place to relax and form new memories as a family.
