If you are a ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ fan or know enough to know the storyline and characters, then you know that Mr. McDreamy is a very prized character of the very intense show. Patrick Dempsey’s wife, Jillian Fink filed for divorce after 15 years of marriage. Yesterday the couple released a joint statement according to US Weekly, stating:
“It is with careful consideration and mutual respect that we have decided to end our marriage. Our primary concern remains the wellbeing of our children, and we ask with profound gratitude that you respect our family’s privacy at this very sensitive time.”
When Dempsey and Fink tied the knot in 1999, they did not sign a pre-nup; and since Dempsey is worth $40 million dollars, he is probably regretting not haveing signing a pre-nup. Along with probably half of his empire, Fink wants full custody of their daughter and twin boys, as well as martial support and child support.
What is found so ironic about Patrick Dempsey’s divorce is that it makes you think about his TV marriage and if he will get a divorce on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ as well. If you have been watching the current season then you would know that his marriage is currently on the rocks and could possibly be heading towards divorce. Who is to say? The saying “It is cheaper to keeper”, is fairly appropriate for this situation.
