Beauty Bloggers Can Make Millions

With the growing craze of social media platforms like Instagram and YouTube, beauty bloggers are bringing in a salary similar to famous celebrities.

They’re known as internet famous and have millions of subscribers who watch their videos or visit their blogs like a TV show.

Whether it is to share their personal style or share tips on makeup application, viewers are addicted.

Women’s Wear Daily reported back in 2014 that top beauty bloggers could be earning up to $1 million a year.

Now how could they be earning so much from personal posts and videos?

Just as companies pay TV programs for commercial time, they pay these bloggers to advertise their products.

YouTube may sponsor a blogger once their traffic reaches high numbers and then advertisements will pop up on the page or a commercial will be shown before their video. The popularity of their channel determines their revenue on these ads.

Companies will also personally connect with the YouTuber to feature their products on their videos. Some bloggers may even be sponsored by a certain company; for example Maybelline partnered with beauty YouTuber Claudia Sulweski for featured videos called “Maybelline Recreate the Runway” where she uses their products to create different makeup looks.

Young YouTuber Bethany Moto even started her own clothing line at clothing store Aeropostale with her popularity growth from doing fashion hauls and lookbooks.

Non YouTube bloggers are also making a living from writing on their personal blog and making appearances.

It is very common for companies to pay various bloggers to write about a product of theirs. Coty Inc. paid bloggers $1,000 to $2,000 to make a post about the Marc Jacobs’ Daisy fragrance.

Bloggers can even make commission for linking a product on their page and receive revenue from readers who purchase the item via the link.

In order for a blogger to write about an event companies will send them to their event to make an appearance and generate more popularity through their social media profiles. Depending on the bloggers popularity they can receive anywhere in the thousands to attend.

weWoreWhat.com blogger Danielle has made a career from the creation of her blog and is invited to events like Fahion Week globally and more recently Coachella music festival.

Ultimately all bloggers have started from the bottom as a mere hobby but have the potential of earning big bucks as they grow and turn this hobby into a career.
